Auto-static bodies?

I was wondering if it were possible to do auto-static bodies (ie, bodies that come to a rest and then become static in the physics engine until they collide again, like in ODE) somehow using the OnUpdate delegate or maybe the collision handler? What would be the best method for doing this, and how do you detect when a body should become static (at rest) and when should it be enabled again?

You mean sleeping bodies. I'd like to add that to the engine someday but not sure when I'll get to it.

As far as implementing it yourself, I'm not really sure... I'll have to give it some thought.

Maybe someone else has done this before.
