collision grid of sphere

I've ran into a bug. I'm working on a platformer, and my test level looks like this. I should be able to jump from where I'm standing (I'm the rectangle that stays upright), but I can't, because the platform I'm standing on seems to be inside the collision grid of the ball, and OnCollision()/OnSeparation() tells me that I'm both colliding and separating extremely fast, therefore rendering me unable to jump.

Is there any way to fix this?
