How to create a "Diving board"

The topic explains most of it. I'm trying to use the AngularSpringLever class from the samples to create a diving board but I can't seem to get it right. I'm planning on using it for the player-character, to get a higher jump, but as it is now, the player jumps the normal height. I'm not sure what to do next. Is it possible to get that effect just using the physics or do I manually have to set an impulse when they collide?

EDIT: Nevermind, I noticed there was something wrong with the code that other programmer in my project had done.
