Simple 2D Rope

Hi all,

I am a little new to Farseer Physicis, but i am looking to create a rope that has a hook on the end. The idea is that the rope will have a fixed starting point as you drag the hook around the screen so will the rope follow the hook. When the hook is attached to some other point, the rope will tighten between those two points.

Does anyone have any ideas where best to start?

Many Thanks,

You should check how the path factory works, and take a look to this thread and this one.

Start the first link attached with a revolute joint to the starting point, then I think that as long you move your "cursor" you should add links to your rope (in case you want to make a rope with different links), when your cursor collides (checking a point against the world, right now I can't remember the method for doing this) with something, just add another revolute joint to the collisioned geom.

Hope this helps as a starting point.
