New XBLIG game -- Bad Golf

Dec 21, 2010 at 6:36 PM

My very first Xbox Live Indie Game is about to pass peer review.  It's just a crummy little 2D golf game, and while it's not going to win any awards, it's MY crummy little game, and I'm proud of it.

So I thought I'd share:

The physics engine is obviously at the core of the game, and I wanted to say a big thank you to the Farseer team for providing such a great tool.

To me it looks like you've put Farseer to good use there ;)

I particularly like the idea of four players playing at the same time... unfortunately I'm all out of Xbox at the moment :/

Do you use Farseer 2.x or 3.x?

Very nice.

Any plans to bring this to Windows Phone?  Seems it would be a good fit.

Thanks for your comments!

Yeah, four-player is actually pretty fun.  There's no built-in "race" mechanic in the game, but it feels natural to try to be the first on in the cup.

I know very little about the Windows Phone, but that seems like a good idea...

Bad Golf is live!

It hit the XBLIG marketplace over the weekend, and has sold a few copies!  I'm so excited!  :)

Looks pretty fun but maybe you should add a trial version with 1 player for 3 levels or something?

I seldom buy xbox indie games before I can try them.

I am confused, but I'm new to this.

All Xbox Indie games have free trial versions, don't they?

In my game, you get two levels for free, playable with all four players.

Hope that helps.

Sorry my bad :)

I didn't see the trial on your game but probably it was just me.

Now I've downloaded the trial and its pretty fun with several players.

Nice work!
