Help building an animation system.

Can someone suggest how I should go about implementing a physics animation system? I have a physics body object which keeps track of all the joints & bones in an physics objects. Furhter I have an animation system which will give me which position a given joint the body should be. My main problem is ofcourse getting the point in the physical body where it should be.

Your mean like a inverse or forward kinematics system?

If that's the case, here you have a great tutorial (it is on C++, but really easy to understand how it works)
