Velcro like effect?

I'm trying to build a character with a box and a circle (with latest release). But I'm having problems making my character move sturdy enough, it keeps sliding everywhere and gets stuck when there's a small climb (the ball spins wildly, there would be fire if the engine supported heat). I've tried putting lots of friction on the ball and the ground, but haven't had the results I've needed.

Is there a good way to have a velcro like effect between my character and the ground? And should I use torque or Angularvelocity when I move around?

You should use the ApplyTorque function to make the circle turn. That's probably why it's spinning "wildly".
