Water Simulation

 I have a tile based platformer engine and I want create water that can increase in volume when water drops are colliding whit it. I have tried to use BuoyancyController to create water but I cant find a way to increase the volume. Is there a way of doing this? or should I just use sensors and apply a uppward force to objects that collides whit it?
