Rocket Stuck Lying Sideways on Ground

I have a body(a rocket) that I am using thrust to move forward and torque to rotate.  When the rocket is lying sideways on the ground torquing it does not lift it off of the ground.  Any ideas on what I could do?

Is it a FixedRotation body? Then torque would have no effect.

Are you applying enough torque?

Replace the rocket fixture with a simple rectangle and apply torque again. Might be a center of mass problem (if your polygon is a weird compound shape).

Try modifying directly the angular velocity to see if something changes.

It is not fixed.  It rotates when it is not on the ground (i have gravity pulling downward).  It is a rectangle, modifying the angular velocity does not change it.  If I up the torque too much then when its not on the ground it rotates extremely fast.  The centre of mass is the centre of the rectangle.

I fixed this by applying a small upwards force when you rotate : P

yes its a hack but it works
