Accelerometer + RevoluteJoint + ApplyForce

I've been working on a game  prototype that uses Farseer engine and Physics Helper for  a WP7.

The game figure is connected to a pendulum via RevoluteJoint and swings via accelerometer force. When released the figure needs to  be propelled to connect to another pendulum. This functions o.k. but  I have a couple of issues around RevoluteJoints not being consistent (min & max angle dont seem to work consistently) and applying the force with the right amount of force. 

I think my problem is somewhere in PhysicsHelper, but would like to run this by somebody else who has successfully  wrestled with PhysicsHelper  before. Alternatively I could rewrite UI to use XNA instead of XAML + Physics Helper (this is a prototype and I am looking for a fastest way to completion) 

Anybody interest in consulting to help me smooth out the kicks?
