[Solved] Can i fix a fiction on the world

I want to use farseer physics engine on a map-like 2D world. Is it possible to give the whole world a friction , i mean like a work around?

You can do this in several ways.

Linear Damping applies it constantly, but it results in 'floaty' objects.

You can do

if (!Moving) Body.LinearVelocity*=.85f;, which looks pretty natural in most cases.

Is it a top down world?

Friction in that case can be applied in 2 ways:

1. Body.LinearDamping
It is implemented like air friction and will slow down your object over time.

2. FrictionJoint
Designed for top down games. Applies friction to a point on the object. If applied to the centroid of the object, it will act as top down friction.
