Debug View Question

I have a question about the debug view: Since you use rectangle, circle, and line textures to draw the various debug data, how do you draw them all without getting a massive slowdown from trying to raw what must be hundreds of sprites?

as far as i see the textures for the sprites are dynamically generated (someone wrote all the drawing methods for rectangles, circle etc.) on LoadContent in DrawingHelper and applied to SpriteBatches which are then used regulary by XNA

I understand that, but my question is this: since you must be drawing hundreds of sprites, how do you draw them all without causing a game slowdown? (in my experience, exceed a couple of hundred sprites and the draw rate plummets)
