Dynamic box on a static box, static box is deleted/moved dynamic box does not continue falling?

This is a very weird problem I'm having. I create a static box and then I create a dynamic box on top of it. I watch the dynamic box fall on the static box and land on it. But when I delete or move the static box the dynamic box on top of it doesn't move, it doesn't fall or move left or right, it just stays where it is. If I apply a downward force on the box it still doesn't move.

However if another box lands on it while there is empty space underneath it, it will start falling. If I make the static actor kinematic it does seem to help but only some of the time, so some of the time the dynamic actor on top of it does fall through and sometimes it doesn't.

It's like after coming to a stop the dynamic object becomes static somehow..

Not too sure what I could be doing wrong?

How are you removing the box?

The reason it stays in the air could be that the contacts associated with the box are not deleted properly. Could you recreate this scenario in a Testbed sample?
